Boomtown Vinton -- The Iowa Pyrotechnics Association September 2007 Show

These photos were taken from the IPA seating area at the edge of the race track with a fisheye lens. The fisheye lens gives me a vertical field of view of about 100 degrees. This allowed me to capture images that include the area from the ground to directly over my head. It also caused the horizon to appear extremely curved. Two versions or each image are included in this gallery. The first version is the original, and the second has been "defished" on the computer to flatten the horizon.
